VERY GOOD

ISAD only had four players available for this match and so needed to use a maximum quota of three guest players. This meant that to keep in line with league rules, they were restricted to fielding seven players.

These teams last met in October. On that occasion United won 5-1, but football at times can be a strange game, and having only seven players seemed to work well for ISAD. The Blue’s sometimes suffer when their players stray from their positions. This time, they were forced to employ a rigid shape, aiming to sit back and soak up the pressure. This they did to good effect.

United committed their players to attack, but eft themselves vulnerable to a counter attack. This was something that iSAD’s guest players Jack Prentice and Freddie McCracken were quick to expolit.

United had the edge in terms of the balance of play, but couldn’t make their most of the chances that came their way. Once again ISAD’s keeper, Ian Culpin was in excellent form. Sam Hunt and Dom Mortimer scored for United, with Hal Norman also providing a helping hand with an own goal (where was the video camera when you need it!?), but it wasn’t enough.

After the match United players are very dissapointed with the result. This was their fifth consecutive defeat. Their last victory was that win against ISAD back in October.
